Smart Energies is a leading gas distribution and renewable energy company headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, with operations across the midstream and downstream sectors of the energy industry. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to drive a cleaner, more sustainable future by balancing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution with renewable energy solutions, energy storage, and green mobility. From prefilled cylinder donations, gas-powered mobile kitchens, and subsidy cards that make clean cooking affordable, to solar panel installations, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and electric motorcycles powered by solar and regular charging stations, we are tackling energy poverty with practical, scalable solutions.

Technology is at the heart of our model. Through our first-of-its-kind Smart Energies mobile app, buyers, gas retailers, and delivery agents are seamlessly connected, enabling orders to be placed from anywhere in the world and fulfilled in Nigeria. This innovation enhances accessibility, efficiency, and convenience for households and businesses alike.

  • SDG 5 (Gender Equality): We actively promote women’s inclusion in the energy sector by empowering women with free cooking gas cylinders, gas powered mobile kitchens and training programs.

Smart Gas Foundation (SGF) is the not-for-profit arm of Smart Energies, registered as a 501(c)(3) in Houston, Texas, and as a foundation in Nigeria. We exist to champion clean energy access for all. Through our advocacy and impact programmes, we donate pre-filled cooking gas cylinders, mobile kitchens, and gas subsidy cards to underserved communities across Nigeria. We also provide training on the safe use of cooking gas and cylinders, while driving awareness on the transition from harmful solid fuels to cleaner alternatives.

Beyond cooking energy, our renewable energy initiatives bring light to communities through solar solutions, while our electric motorcycles promote green mobility, cutting down emissions and creating healthier environments. Every step we take is rooted in our vision of a future where clean, reliable, and affordable energy is the norm—not a privilege.
